The Imaginary Foundation is an art collective and think tank that researches new ways of thinking and promotes the power of imagination. The group operates with the goal of embedding cosmic intelligence and philosophical ideas into pop culture. Rather than publishing academic papers, the foundation uses streetwear (t-shirts, hoodies, and art prints) as a "Trojan horse" to disseminate their positive, mind-expanding concepts to the public.
My main responsibility there was to design various apparel pieces using the director's visual compositions and prepare print-ready artwork mechanicals for mass manufacturing. In addition to that, I was tasked to create brand-consistent graphics for web and marketing collateral, photograph and retouch product and lifestyle images, and prepared design elements for product launches and campaigns.

This next set was part of the latest collection I worked on called "Cosmic Symbolism"as part of a seasonal contract with the multinational streetwear retailer, ZUMIEZ.
I prepared these promotional campaign posters for Cosmic Symbolism Collection designed exclusively for ZUMIEZ
In additional to the promotional materials, I also assisted in preparing the artwork mechanicals for the pieces of apparel in the collection. Below is an example of one of the all-over sublimated sweatshirts.
The items below belong to the proceeding collection that used a patterned set of geometry-related graphics. I was responsible for drawing these shapes, creating the pattern, and building the artwork mechanicals to produce each piece of apparel.
Here is an example of the belt accessory, its artwork mechanical, as well as the final product images, which I photographed and retouched myself.
The image below left is the original composition by the director at The Imaginary Foundation, appearing on various apparel—including t-shirts and 3/4 sleeve shirts—often categorized as "Y2K" or "surreal art" streetwear.

I was briefed to create a scalable vector version, seen on the right, that was simplified and composed with a limited the amount of colors or "hits of ink" to be used in later instances for both digital & print.
Here is another example where I was tasked to "trace" the director's original photo. In this case, the final artwork vector was intended to be used to create a special, limited edition lapel pin.

It was also used to created a set of embroidered patches shown below.
I assisted on many photoshoots that involved everything from capturing assets for artwork compositions to product shots for image galleries, as well as lifestyle environments for future marketing materials.
